Pipe Repair products offer a fast, safe way to seal splits, holes, and corroded sections instantly – often under full system pressure – avoiding the need for expensive and time-consuming network shutdowns.
MegaFit Couplings deliver wide-tolerance connections for multiple pipe materials, ideal for repair applications, offering 8° angularity and simple installation using a single spanner for consistent, efficient performance.
There are restrictions on the minimum thickness of the stainless steel, PVC-U and GRP pipes for them to work with Viking Johnson flexible couplings. Consult Viking Johnson for further guidance.
Caveat 3
While Viking Johnson has tested and approved the use of MegaFit on gas, please verify that the network owner sanctions the use of the fitting for your intended application.

Heavy Duty Universal Pipe Couplings
Universal Pipe Fittings
The MegaFit range provides advanced mechanical pipe couplings for connecting plain-ended pipes of equal nominal bore, regardless of differing outside diameters. A single coupling accommodates steel, ductile iron, uPVC, cast iron, and asbestos cement pipes.
Flexible Installation & Reduced Stock
Designed for repair scenarios with unknown pipe diameters, MegaFit couplings offer an OD tolerance of up to 34 mm. This wide tolerance reduces stock requirements to one size per nominal diameter and simplifies on-site installation.
Sealing Performance
MegaFit couplings incorporate enclosed end rings and a ‘slide-easy’ gasket engineered for high sealing pressure. Its circumferential ribs maintain reliable sealing on scored, pitted, or corroded pipe surfaces, ensuring straightforward installation and long-term performance.
Quality
All MegaFit Couplings are manufactured under BS EN ISO 9001 quality and tested in Viking Johnson’s facilities. In sizes DN100 and over they use M16 bolts, providing a more robust fitting.
Why Choose MegaFit
Universal fittings – Suitable for both water and gas applications.
Save time with easy installation – Large setting gaps saves time by negate the need for accurate measurement in the trench when making repairs.
Flexible connections – Allow up to 8° angular deflection for couplings and 4° angular deflection for flange adaptors.
Wide tolerance – Up to 34 mm OD tolerance fits multiple pipe diameters and materials.
Guaranteed working pressure – 16 bar water (tested to 24 bar) 6 bar gas (tested to 9 bar).
Enhanced performance – Features an extended sealing face.
Robust, secure assembly – Uses M16 bolts on DN100.
Cost effective – Reduces stockholding and increases stock turnover.
Effortless installs – Easy installation and accommodates ground movement.
Design Benefits
Guaranteed Sealing
The unique, ‘slide easy’ gasket provides maximum sealing pressure, even on scored, pitted and corroded pipe surfaces through its distinctive circumferential ribs.
Excellent Corrosion Protection
Metal components are coated with Rilsan Nylon 11 which is WRAS approved for use with potable water. The nuts and bolts are Sheraplex coated to WIS 4-52-03, offering long term protection to corrosion, impact and abrasion for continued reliable performance.
User Friendly
The MegaFit range is supplied with captive bolts, meaning that the nuts need only to be tightened, with a torque wrench, at one end, saving time and simplifying installation.
Simple to Fit
MegaFit includes an extended centre sleeve as standard to aid installation it allows for greater cutting tolerances and greater pipe insertion depths – sealing beyond corrosion damaged pipe ends.
