Pipe Repair products offer a fast, safe way to seal splits, holes, and corroded sections instantly – often under full system pressure – avoiding the need for expensive and time-consuming network shutdowns.
Ideal for water & wastewater treatment plants, Wall Couplings provide a reliable solution for passing pipes through concrete walls, simplifying installation, enabling secure positioning, preventing movement when casting concrete, and eliminating the need for post-installation remedial work.
There are restrictions on the minimum thickness of the stainless steel, PVC-U and GRP pipes for them to work with Viking Johnson flexible couplings. Consult Viking Johnson for further guidance.
Caveat 3
Wall couplings are only suitable for use on straight wall and cannot be used in circular ones.
Caveat 4
Wall couplings can only be used for the construction of new walls and cannot be retrofitted into existing structures.

Specialist Through Wall Connections
Multiple Configuration Variants
Viking Johnson wall couplings are available in nine variations designed to sit flush between formwork panels. Multiple end configurations accommodate diverse site conditions, offering a robust alternative for passing pipes through walls or slabs while maintaining installation flexibility.
Easier Installation
A Viking Johnson wall coupling held rigidly between shutters removes the need for boxing out, enabling a single continuous concrete pour. This eliminates leak paths typically formed at construction joints.
Accommodating Ground Settlement
A standard Type 1 coupling provides independent pipe insertion on both sides of the wall and allows up to 3° angular deflection, improving alignment and reducing installation time.
The wall coupling forms the first rocker/settlement joint directly within the wall’s shear face, where movement control is most effective. Only one additional coupling is required to complete the settlement arrangement, reducing material and installation costs.
Structural Strength Requirement
Viking Johnson recommends verifying that the concrete wall can withstand forces generated by system working pressure and any loads transmitted through the coupling. Ensuring adequate structural capacity is essential for long-term performance and safety.
Why Choose Wall Couplings
Major cost savings on projects – No additional work required to cast in pipes or repair wall surfaces.
Straightforward pipe positioning – Easy installation for civil contractors.
Leak tight sealing – Strong, reliable bond between concrete & wall coupling every time.
Eliminates pipe movement – Fast, secure fixing that prevents pipe movement.
Reusable formwork panels – No holes required in shuttering, no damage, no waste.
Design Benefits
Corrosion Protection
Metal components are coated with Rilsan Nylon 11 which is WRAS approved for use with potable water and offers a long term protection to corrosion, impact and abrasion to ensures continued reliable performance.
Flexible Fit
Using a standard Type 1 Viking Johnson wall coupling gives a flexible coupling either side of the wall where pipes can either be passed through or inserted into each side. This allows for slight misalignment or angular deflection on each side of the wall.
