Pipe Repair products offer a fast, safe way to seal splits, holes, and corroded sections instantly – often under full system pressure – avoiding the need for expensive and time-consuming network shutdowns.
The proven Marine range has been designed and approved for use in maritime environments. Alongside all the features and benefits of Viking Johnson’s standard range, the marine fittings have attained international seals of approval from prominent marine authorities including American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and Bureau Veritas.

Approved Fittings for Marine Pipework
Engineered for Demanding Marine Environments
The Marine range carries international approvals from ABS and Bureau Veritas. It retains all performance characteristics of Viking Johnson’s standard fittings while meeting stricter marinegrade certification requirements.
Typical Marine Applications
Marine fittings are used across key onboard systems including deck wash, sanitary supply, domestic fresh water, oil fuel transfer, scupper and discharge lines, inert gas, bilge and ballast lines, fuel and lubricating oil, filling and vent pipes, and fresh & saltwater service lines.
Pipework Movement Management
Marine installations typically anchor pipework to the vessel structure, creating high mechanical loads as the ship moves. Marine couplings are designed to absorb this movement, reducing stress concentrations and preventing fatigue related failures across the pipe system.
Enhanced Marine Design Features
The range incorporates a galvanized finish for corrosion resistance, a nitrile gasket for compatibility with marine fluids, and a locating plug that prevents coupling creep under repeated motion. This locating plug is removable to allow full sliding over pipe ends during installation, then engages between pipe ends to restrict axial travel within defined limits.
Why Choose Marine Couplings
Preassembled efficiency – Marine products up to DN300 arrive ready to install, no dismantling required.
Fast installation – Designed for quick, hasslefree fitting even in the toughest marine conditions.
International approvals – Certified by ABS and Bureau Veritas for full marinegrade compliance.
Angular movement – Handles minor misalignment and pipe deflection with up to 6º on couplings and 3º on flange adaptors.
Creep prevention – Removable locating plug prevents creep from constant vibrations and temperature changes.
Built in expansion – Absorbs 10mm expansion/contraction on couplings and 5mm on flange adaptors, reducing the need for extra joints or bellows.
Options – A choice of NBR/EPDM gaskets and available with or without removable plugs.
Reduced system complexity – Less reliance on supplementary expansion components streamlines the entire pipe system.
Design Benefits
Corrosion Protection
Available as standard with galvanised body and bolts for the most arduous conditions.
Fixed Fitting
Removable locating plug prevents coupling creep caused by continuous vibrations found onboard along with movement from temperature variations.
Simple to Fit
Captive, non-rotating bolt head requires single spanner/ torque wrench to make installation simple with one bolt size (M12) across range and one bolt torque (55-65Nm) for all pipe materials.
Reduces Noise
Resilient gasket helps absorb both noise and vibration.
