Above Ground or Buried Application

FlexLock is a unique pipe jointing system designed to be fully end-load bearing. The specialized gaskets feature embedded stainless-steel teeth that grip the outer surface of the pipe. This mechanical engagement allows for necessary angular deflection of pipes while in service, preventing separation under heavy pressure loads. These characteristics make FlexLock ideal for a variety of environments, including above-ground installations, buried applications, soft ground conditions, or even temporary pipe work where rapid deployment and reliability are critical.

End Load Restraint

FlexLock operates on the same compression joint principle as standard Viking Johnson products. As the compression bolts are tightened, the stainless-steel teeth grip around the outside diameter of the pipe to provide a fully end-load restraint joint. Internal pressure within the pipe causes the assembly to lock even more firmly, ensuring a completely leak-proof joint. The system is specifically engineered for use on cold potable water pipelines with a maximum operating temperature of 40°C.
